After using my Canon 550D/Rebel t2i for shooting different project the past months on my youtube channel, I decided that I wanted to make an actionfilm to test it even more. I bought a new lens for my camera: Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM, and a field sound recorder: Zoom ZOH4NK H4n and a boompole so I could record much better sound, and get closer to the object with the shotgun microphone.
We filmed everything during one day with a Canon 7D and Canon EOS 550D on homemade shoulder-rigs, and used only natural light (the sun and the existing lamps on location). I used Final Cut Pro to edit the film and Color to colorcorrect. I added blood bursts, muzzle flashes, gun-shells and so on in After effects.

I made this film when participating in a contest for a netshop called Komplett (komplett.no). They are the leading netshop company in Norway, selling electronic devices over the internet. The contest was based on making the best TV-commercial for Komplett. There were no restrictions to the content of the video, but it couldn’t last more then 45 seconds.
I shot the TV-commercial with Canon XH A1 and SgPro, and I didn’t have any film-lights, so I just used some working-lamps I found in my garage.

I participated in a videomarathon contest in Norway, where I had to create a whole short film within only 48 hours. The short had to be based on a theme, that was given Friday 2 October, and the final result had to be delivered on a DVD Sunday 4 October.
The theme for this contest was “Syndebukk” (”Scapegoat”). I thought that the idea and the brainstorming process was the most important part of the production, so I used Friday to create film-ideas based on the given theme. Then I used Saturday to shoot the film, and night to Sunday to edit it.

DNV is a large independent foundation with the vision of global impact for a safe and sustainable future. During the Summer, DNV invited an international group of fourth year master students to work in a project at DNV’s HQ in Høvik, Norway. Their task was to bring a new and fresh perspective on a major challenge with a global impact and need for innovative solutions.
I was given the task to film the students throughout the six weeks they worked with the project, and create a film were I presented the project, the students and DNV. This film was also made to promote the next years project and give people more information about DNV and their field of work.

My graduation film at NordlandCollege of Art and Film, “Kontakt” (”Contact”), was a science fiction short. All my life I have dreamed about making a science fiction film so this was a fantastic opportunity for me. In addition of being the script-writer, director, editor and sound designer in this film, I also made special effects such as UFO lights and special alien eyes that glowed.
Martin is extremely interested in aliens. Every week he finds a place to sit and study the sky for Ufos. One day, deep in the forest, he accidentally meets Lene, a vain girl from school. She is on her way to a party, but has got lost. Suddenly a lightning object flies across the sky, towards an abandoned house in the forest. In spite to Martins warnings, Lene runs into the house, and Martin must protect her from the mysterious visit.

In August 2009 I startet on NordlandCollege of Art and FIlm in Lofoten, Norway. On my first exam, I chose to make a comedy short film. I had an idea which I thouht about many years earlier, but now I wanted to realize this idea by making this film. I wrote a script and gathered up a crew to shot the film on three days.
“Alt for Norge” (”All for Norway”) is about Knut and Olav who have bought a big and expensive High Definition TV to watch the match between Norway and Germany in the European football championship. But when they arrive at Knut’s apartment, Knut realizes that he has forgotten his keys at work. They try to break the window and lift the TV inside, but when they cover themselves up, to not get the hurt, Knut’s neighbor think they are burglars and calles the cop.

Makeme.no arranged a contest, where people could make a TV commercial about a lottery company, and win prizes. I gathered up som friends and made this TV commercial where the motto was “some moments last forever”. The first idea was to make the part in the commercial, where they realize that they have won, in super-slow motion (just as my slow-motion video on Youtube). Unfortunatly, the location was to dark to manage this effect, so I only managed to add a normal slow motion (60% speed). But in the end, I was still pleased with the final result.

This year, the best teams from both Norway and Sweden rallied to fight for the final spot and a shot at winning the big goblet. Entrusted to film the whole tournament, I tracked a variety of teams in numerous matches, interviewed a wide range of players, filmed dramatic moments at the sideline and captured the excitement before and after every match; this was definitely a great undertaking.

Stian and Knut are on a location-scout for their new horror movie. They find an abandoned house in the forest, which they felt was a perfect setting for their film. On their way home, they hear an eerie noise resembling an infant crying from the direction of the house they found.
As the viewer, you are immersed in the movie and in control of the main characters actions in what they do. Should they go home, or do they dare return to the house and investigate who or what is making this strange noise. I created this film to see if it was possible to incorporate interactivity with the actual movie; where the viewer has the ability to choose an outcome that dynamically changes the experience, making it more exciting and chilling than a normal horror film.
The film is viewed from a normal DVD and provides options to choose different actions that the main characters can take, ultimately shaping the outcome of the movie.

Yellow pages hosted a TV commercial contest in Norway in which participants were able to compete by producing their own rendition of a TV commercial for Yellow pages. We were required to base our commercial around the theme “Get it done!”. One hundred and fifty films where submitted to this contest, and of those submissions, my commercial came in at second place.
My TV commercial is about a guy who panics and stresses when he realizes that he forgot to clean up his house before attending a big wedding. He asks the Yellow pages catalogue to help him clean and fix his home before leaving for the wedding.

Five teenagers get enlisted into the military Special Forces and are sent in a helicopter to go on a basic training mission. However, as they traversed towards their destination, there was a mixup between the trainees and another military chopper on its way to an actual live and deadly mission in another country. Oblivious about the situation, the teenagers are under the impression it is all part of the training exercise, until they find out that live ammunition is being fired at them. After being jettisoned from the helicopter and with absolutely no knowledge of the danger they’re in, the teenagers must work together in order to survive.
