About me and my company

Anders profil med ramme

I founded AXP in January 2008 after receiving some TV commercial jobs. I’ve made some promotional films and TV commercials earlier, but when the jobs became bigger and more serious, i knew I had to start my own company. However, my biggest interest when it comes to creating films is to direct feature films. Unfortunately this is a hard business, and therefore I also work with other kind of films. I’m specialized in Directing as well as Director of Photography.

When I started making films as young child, I found out quickly that this was the best way to express my ideas in an imaginative and creative way. I managed to borrow my father’s analog camcorder when I was twelve and I made a lot of test films with friends to find out how to use the camera and how to edit a film. When I was around fifteen, I started to write scripts for my films. At that time I tried to focus more on the story and the actors, than the technical aspect of making a film.

I studied media and film at High School at the age of sixteen until age nineteen. At this time I made my first serious mini-series, “Fortapt”, where I was fortunate to recruit over forty actors that consisted of fellow friends and study actors. I wrote the script, directed all the episodes, filmed the entire series and I did all the cutting and editing. The project was an action series, with some dramatic scenes that involved stunts and special effects as well. I used both real effects on-set and digital effects in post-production. It took over one year and two months to produce the entire series and I had a premiere at a local cinema October 2007.

In 2006 I found out how to build my own handheld steadycam. It was an advantage to use steadycam in my films if I wanted to move the camera a lot (which is a style I prefer). People liked my custom steadycam and wanted to pay me to make some for them. As a result, I started another company named WalKam. I produced and made the steadycams by order, and made a dedicated website for my steadycam (www.walkam.net). I produced and sold over 70 steadycams to costumers from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Great Brittan.

When I was 20 years old, I started at Nordland Kunst- og Filmfagskole in Lofoten (NordlandCollege of art and film) to study Directing and to become Director of Photography. Here I made two short films as a Director, and I was Director of Photography in seven short films made by the students. The first short film I created in Lofoten was a comedy named “Alt for Norge” (“All for Norway”). I thought about the script for this film several years ago, but I never had a chance to realize it until studying at NordlandCollege. I was very pleased with the final result and I received great feedback from students, staff and fellow movie goers in Lofoten. “Alt for Norge” was actually screened at a film festival in Bulgary in 2009.

The second film I made, which was my graduation film, was a science-fiction short named “Kontakt” (”Contact”). All my life I have dreamed about making a science fiction film, so this was a fantastic opportunity for me. In addition of being the script writer, director, editor and sound designer in this movie, I also made special effects such as UFO lights and special alien eyes that glowed.

So throughout all these years I have been involved in a lot of different projects, everything from dramatic action series with special effects to humorous TV-commercial and science fiction films. I have worked extensively as Director and Director of Photography, but also script-writing, editing, sound design and special effects.
